VelvetShip utilizes a third-party fulfillment partner that is only able to ship to locations in the continental United States. Store owners are expected to configure shipping settings so that products from the VelvetShip fulfillment service can only be shipping to this region.
Please allow up to 2 business days for orders to ship after transmittal and processing. Please be aware that some custom-made items will take longer to ship. Shippers (UPS, USPS, FEDEX) use a dimensional weight formula to calculate the actual shipping cost of a shipment. The weight of an item is posted on it’s product page if the manufacturer has provided the weight.
Dynamic Shipping Settings
Effective January 2023, VelvetShip uses a dynamic shipping rate calculation based on the lowest cost of the three supported carriers (USPS, UPS, and FedEx). We recommend that you as the store owner pass along these shipping costs to your customers.
For the most accurate shipping calculations, we recommend the use of third-party plugins that will calculate accurate rates for you. However, these apps often involve additional costs or a higher tier Shopify plan to implement.
If you are not able to implement dynamic shipping calculations on your store, we recommend the following alternative shipping rate structure:

Additional Considerations
- VelvetShip reserves the right to modify its shipping policy and pricing at any time.
- Shipping rates may be higher during peak season such as the holidays (November through January).
- We will notify customers via email of any major changes to shipping costs, and will keep the recommended shipping cost table above updated.
- Our goal is always to provide the best possible value for our store owners, and the best shipping prices available.
Legacy Flat Rate Shipping
Prior to 2023, VelvetShip charged a flat rate shipping fee for all orders through the app. This practice was discontinued in January 2023 due to the highly fluctuating cost of shipping different products.

The following online shipping calculators can be used to estimate the actual shipping costs associated with each carrier.
Each country and locality has their own restrictions and product prohibitions. You are responsible for ensuring that your store is in compliance with all local and regional laws.
Large and/or heavy items like expensive love dolls and large rubber products may cost significantly more to ship than the initial estimated shipping charge. We’ll work with you on an individual basis to ensure proper shipping calculations.
